TUTOR: Caroline DATES AVAILABLE: Sunday 20th November: 10.00 – 14.00 pm / Price: £40 ABOUT THIS CLASS: Christmas is the very best time to get creative, it gives us a great excuse to decorate with abandon and make gorgeous gifts for family and friends. During this class we will sew a lovely Christmas stocking adding plenty of personal touches along the way. Your imagination is really the only thing stopping you! This is a great class if you already have a little sewing experience and a good follow on from our Know Your Sewing Machine course (attendance of this course is not compulsory in order to do this class). After this class you will be able to take all the knowledge home with you so you can whip up more of these gorgeous Christmas stockings as gifts or to decorate every room of your home! THE TOPICS WE AIM TO COVER ARE: How to prepare your fabrics Choosing the correct stitches Appliqué Trimmings Bagging out Sewing with multiple layers MATERIALS NEEDED: Please bring the following to your class 70cm of your chosen cotton fabric (this will make a medium size stocking) please feel free to look up ideas and bring an assortment of fabrics if you wish. 70cm of fabric for your stocking lining – cotton fabric. 70cm of wadding - cotton bamboo wadding or polyester wadding Small amounts of contrast fabric for applique Trims and embellishments that take your fancy. Matching Thread We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson, but please bring a pack lunch with you for this class.
