During this class we will be using the fabulous Iris pattern by Tilly & The Buttons with an inclusive size range of UK 6-24. Incredibly versatile, the mix and match sewing pattern includes a choice of low, midi and high leg and waistbands. After learning all the skills needed to make a pretty pair of knickers, you will be all set to repeat this process over and over at your leisure using different jersey materials and trims, making each pair unique. This class is for those with some sewing experience. A fun class by yourself or with a bunch of your friends! This is the perfect scrap busting project! During this class the topics we aim to cover are: *Correct use of pattern *Correct cutting techniques * Sewing with Stretch Fabric *Attaching a gusset *Use of elastic and the Zigzag stitch *Attaching Trimmings Materials needed: *0.6m Main Fabric – Cotton Jersey *0.25m x 0.25m Lining Fabric – Cotton Jersey *Narrow stretch lace or Fold Over Elastic (FOE)2.9m – this is for your waistband and around each leg. We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson.
